Chen, Blanca  陳凌旭

Blanca Chen is an illustrator born in 1996, in New Jersey and raised in Taiwan, ROC. For elementary school, she went to Taipei American School (TAS). Due to family circumstances, her family moved cities and she completed her middle to high school education in Pacific American School (PAS). In 2014, she enrolled in the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) in Atlanta, Georgia to pursue a BFA degree in illustration. In 2016, she participated in a Group Exhibition of botanical arts: The Green Mantle at the Kibbee Gallery and won the Representational Art category in SCAD’s Beyond the Dot competition. The following year, Blanca became a contributor to SCAN Magazine’s Spring 2017 issue and her editorial illustration placed second for Computer Generated Single Illustration in the Columbia University Scholastic Association Golden Circle Award for Magazine. Her anticipated graduation is in March 2018.
